Published Mar 20, 2012Montreal's Osheaga Festival has been dropping hints about its 2012 event all month long, tweeting about confirmed acts like the Black Keys, Justice, M83, Florence and the Machine, the Shins, Amadou and Mariam, Feist and more. Now organizers have officially announced their 2012 lineup, spilling the names of a pile of more big-name acts that will play Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 3 to 5.
The seventh annual Osheaga looks as if it's going to be pretty bonkers, because on top of the aforementioned artists, international bands scheduled to appear at the event now include Sigur Rós, MGMT, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, Garbage, A$AP Rocky, Snoop Dogg, the Black Lips, Atlas Sound, Passion Pit, Yeasayer and the Walkmen, among others.
Canuck artists set to rep their home and native land include City and Color, the Weeknd, Metric, Kathleen Edwards, Plants and Animals, Austra, Arkells, Dan Mangan, Zeus, and more.
You can check out more of this year's confirmed acts over here at the festival website. More bands are expected to be announced in April.
