Orville Peck's Backing Band FRIGS Release New EP

'RAVE AND RUPTURE IN MUSIC AS DISASTER' is only available on Bandcamp for 48 hours

Before they backed up crooning cowboy Orville Peck, FRIGS made their name as one of Toronto's buzziest post-punk bands. Now, the quintet have followed up 2018 debut album Basic Behaviour with new EP RAVE AND RUPTURE IN MUSIC AS DISASTER, which will only be available on their Bandcamp for 48 hours, until May 15.

In contrast to Peck's classic country sound, RAVE AND RUPTURE marks a full return to FRIGS' slow-burning, menacing post-punk, doling out five intensely furious tracks in 15 minutes.

Along with the release of the record, the band shared a statement that reads, "During these uncertain times, the band want to emphasize that they understand the financial strain COVID-19 has had on many of their fans, and want to offer their music at an optional price point. Therefore, the EP will be available for download on a 'pay what you can' basis."
