Published Jan 10, 2011In the fall of 2010, synth-pop pioneers Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark broke an elongated silence with History of Modern, their first new album since 1996 and the first time their classic lineup worked together since The Pacific Age in 1986. The band celebrated their return with a European tour in October and November, and now they will treat North American cities to some dates in 2011.
The tour kicks off in Canada, with shows at Toronto's Phoenix Concert Theatre on March 5 and Montreal's Le National on March 6. Unfortunately for the rest of the country, those are the only Canadian dates, but the rest of the tour includes stops throughout the United States, including a stint at South by Southwest.
A press release indicates that the band will be featuring both new material and classic hits in their set list, ensuring that fans of every OMD era will get what they want out of the live show. All confirmed dates are available below.
