Following a couple of brief teaser clips, British synth-pop faves Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark have released the first official music video from their new album English Electric, due out April 9.
"Metroland" is an upbeat pop cut that blends synth tinkles with a thudding electro pulse and peacefully tuneful melodies. The accompanying clip is quirkily animated affair that shows fancy-looking folks riding a steam train through beautiful countryside and generic-looking suburbs before ending up a grim, gloomy city (called "Metro-Land," natch).
