If you're a fan of espionage movies, then here's a mystery for you to unwrap. It's comes from Dan Boeckner's electro-rock band Operators and is for their song "True."
This cut from last year's EP1 has an urgent dance pulse, and the music sets the tense tone for a spy story full of payphone calls, anonymous handoffs, spinning reels of tape and mysterious figures peering through binoculars. It's not always easy to figure out exactly what's going on in terms of the narrative, but the faceless lurkers and violent climax set the tone nicely.
