Ontario Brewery Teams Up with Eagles of Death Metal for "Boots Electric" Charity Beer

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Mar 10, 2016

Following a year that found Eagles of Death Metal at the centre of the tragic Paris attacks, the California rockers are back out on the road bringing music to their fans. They'll be making the trek to our home and native land for Canadian Music Week and a set of joint shows with Death From Above 1979 this spring, but before they land on Canadian soil, Eagles of Death Metal have announced a thirst-quenching collaboration with Manantler Craft Brewing.

The Ontario brewers have paired up with the band to create a brand new craft beer for a good cause. It's been named the Boots Electric IPA (after frontman Jesse Hughes' solo moniker), and the Bowmanville, ON-based beverage makers will be donating $1 from each bottle sold to the Sweet Stuff Foundation.

The charity was started by Eagles of Death Metal co-founder Josh Homme to help musicians and their families struggling with illness or disability. Recently, the organization launched a fundraising initiative that sees the profits from cover versions of "I Love You All the Time" going towards the victims of November's terrorist attacks in Paris.

Manantler's custom brew will be available as of May 7. Find the band's upcoming Canadian tour dates listed below.
