Oneohtrix Point Never Announces 'Replica' Remix EP, Shares Matmos Rework

Oneohtrix Point Never Announces 'Replica' Remix EP, Shares Matmos Rework
The "cloud surfing synths and water-y tones" of Oneohtrix Point Never's 2011 set Replica endeared itself to many. Hoping to shed new light on some semi-recent favourites, the ambient electronic artist also known as Daniel Lopatin has now announced a new remix EP called Dog in the Fog - Replica Collaborations & Remixes.

The four-song effort arrives digitally June 12 through Lopatin's Software imprint. The EP contains two different versions of "Replica." The first features vocal and viola contributions from Limpe Fuchs, whose 1987 electroacoustic album Via had made a strong impact on Lopatin, and production work from U.S. glitch favourites Matmos. You can stream that remix here, and find the original down below.

Another attempt at "Replica" finds Lopatin offering up a new arrangement to support King Midas Sound member Roger Robinson's vocal work. The remaining numbers are reworked versions of album tracks "Remember" and "Nassau," interpreted by Surgeon and Richard Youngs, respectively.

In other news, while Oneohtrix Point Never performed in Canada earlier this year, his summer will mostly be spent performing on European soil. You can check those dates below.
