Oneohtrix Point Never will release his album R Plus Seven on October 1 through Warp, and now he's shared a video for the album cut "Still Life (Betamale)."
This version song is a strange one that mixes barely-there electronics with mysterious narration from a female voice. (The speaking wasn't present in the prior version of the song we heard.) As for the clip, a press release notes that it "draws images from a wide range of online fetish sites, engaging with the theme of obsessive desire."
Some of this is animated, while much of it involves costumes, and we also see a few shots of some very messy homes and a guy holding a gun to his head. Some of the cartoon images are lurid enough to merit a NSFW tag. The visuals were assembled by Jon Rafman.
Additionally, R Pus Seven is available to stream in full from NPR.
