Oneohtrix Point Never

"Sleep Dealer"

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Sep 7, 2011

If you're into outsider electronic music, chances are you're more than a little eager for Oneohtrix Point Never's upcoming Replica. The record still isn't out until November 8, but to help tide us over until then, we have the new album track "Sleep Dealer."

Showing a definite change from the kosmische-loaded drones of OPN's earlier work, the song proves that we can expect some pleasant surprises with Replica. As the press release explains, "Resembling a 'happy accident' 4/4 loop, the track skips across a micro space / time continuum to incorporate nonsensical gnome dialogue, a children's choir, and wistful brass melodies. Do feel free to post this on your websites and wax poetically."

If you weren't pumped on the record before, trust us, this is going to change all that.

Replica is due out via Software.
