Onelinedrawing

After four teaser EPs, Onelinedrawing (aka Jonah Matranga of New End Original and formerly of Far fame) finally coughs up a full album's worth of material. And the frustrating wait has been worth it. Recording truly as a solo artist (he plays all the instruments, performs all the vocals and programs all the drum machine bits), Matranga's songs range from sparse and moody introspective ballads to happy, shiny, up-beat Flock of Seagulls-inspired new wave pop songs. While not as potently affecting as Chris Carrabba's Dashboard Confessional - the other emo-punk troubadour - Matranga's songs are no less courageous or honest in their emotion.
