One man was killed and was another left injured last night (February 28) when rapper French Montana's tour bus came under fire from an unidentified shooter at a Philadelphia hotel.

The Associated Press reports that the shooter drove up to the hotel near Penn's Landing around 11:30 p.m. local time and opened fire on a crowd of people surrounding Montana's tour bus. The rapper and his entourage had arrived following a headlining performance at Philadelphia's Theatre of Living Arts.

Philadelphia police chief inspector Scott Small explained that "A large crowd of fans, as well as some of the entourage, were loitering and just hanging out," and added that one person may have fired back.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and later pronounced dead in hospital, while another man suffered a bullet wound in his shoulder. Investigators don't believe either victim was part of the rapper's entourage, nor do they believe that Montana or his crew were the targets.

Montana tweeted a photo of a police officer interrogating a person over the incident, which you can see above.

Last January, Montana's Maybach Music boss Rick Ross was targeted in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.
