The Olympic Symphonium Book North American Spring Tour, Share Intimate Performance Video

BY Alex HudsonPublished Feb 21, 2014

Low-key Fredericton folksters the Olympic Symphonium will release their album Chance to Fate on March 18 through Forward Music Group, and they've now announced plans to promote it with a spring tour.

The outing will run through most of April and the first half of May with a few gaps. Almost all of the dates are in the eastern half of Canada, but there are also a couple of U.S. gigs. All told, they will be playing in 12 different cities, with two nights in Toronto. See the schedule below.

For a taste of what the band's new material sounds like live, scroll past the itinerary to watch a performance video of the Chance to Fate cut "Weak at the Knees." This isn't any old live video, however, since it was filmed in a car late at night at a Zellers parking lot in Moncton, NB. This is part of the showcase series Jeff's Musical Car, and it finds the group fitting an upright bass into the small car.

Don't forget that pre-orders of Chance to Fate come with a remix EP featuring Joshua Van Tassel, Michael Feuerstack and Paper Beat Scissors' Tim Crabtree.
