The Old Salts Roll Out Canadian Summer Tour Dates

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 12, 2015

Roots rockin' Toronto outfit the Old Salts have plans to hit the studio later this year, but before they do, the gritty outfit are taking the tunes from their self-titled debut back on the road for dates across Canada's eastern half this summer.

Blending folk and bluegrass with hints of hard-hitting Celtic punk, the band know how to throw a raucous live show. They deliver rock'n'roll that's fuelled by "a love of bourbon and late nights" — and there should be plenty of both on the tour. And that's in addition to their homemade beer, of course.

The string of shows kicks off in Toronto at NXNE with a show at Sneaky Dee's on June 19, with a follow-up hometown show at the Horseshoe Tavern on June 27. From there, the group will head east through Ontario, Quebec and into the Maritimes. The East Coast jaunt wraps up in Halifax on July 17, with the band returning to their home province for a concert in Windsor on July 25, another Toronto gig on July 27 and a final summer show in St. Catherine's on August 14.

You can see the tour details listed below, and if you scroll past the upcoming gigs, you can give the band's latest single "Death Letter" a spin. It's a spirited blues-punk number that's sure to get you riled up to see the Old Salts live.
