Fans of folkish indie rockers Okkervil River were treated to a new twelve-inch from the band last month, but the real treat this year is going to be the outfit's next full-length record, I Am Very Far, which sees release this May. An expected bonus from putting out a new disc is generally the promise of some concert dates, and Okkervil River do not disappoint: the group have just announced a spring/summer tour.
Following a few dates in their native Texas, the band will kick off a trek in support of I Am Very Far May 31 in Atlanta, GA. The month-long journey will find the group hitting Canada twice, with one gig in Toronto (June 10) and one in Vancouver (June 20). Ragged rockers Titus Andronicus, who are just starting a lengthy tour of their own, will join Okkervil River on all dates. You can check out the schedule below.
