Oil

Electric Tongue

This Dutch band’s bio touts them as a mix of Led Zepplin and Queens of the Stone Age and promises to "give you balls the size of Amsterdam.” Well, something must have gotten lost in the translation here, because Oil are simply a soulless post-post Fugazi pile of bullshit. Fuzzy No Means No bass and monotone macho vocals over boring, slightly discordant mid-tempo rock — yeah, that’s what Led Zepplin sounded like, alright! What you got here are five songs I never want to hear again misleadingly packaged in a hip "cut and paste" style Sticky Fingers rip-off cover concept.
