Ohara

"Tapestry" (video)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 27, 2016

Last summer, Nancy Pants frontwoman Ohara Hale unveiled plans for her solo debut under the one-name moniker of Ohara, outlining her Amory Jun album. Finishing touches are still being put on the delayed album, but she's teasing the eventual arrival with a new video.

Hale previously likened her Ohara project to a "lullaby" when compared to the high energy blasts of sound that Nancy Pants are known for delivering. Primarily driven by classical guitar and occasional cello, the songs on Amory Jun are "both slow and upbeat, both vulnerable and resilient, both gentle and assertive."

"Tapestry" fits that description, and the gentle, melodious track has now been paired with visuals that show the sky in an array of spectacular forms. From shooting stars to clouds moving through a beautiful blue sky and into the sunset, it's a breathtaking visual accompaniment to the song.

Hale has a series of upcoming shows with an assortment of musical projects, and you can see the full list below. Beyond that, hit play to watch the video premiere of "Tapestry."
