Odd Future's Left Brain Charged by Photographer Following Alleged Attack

Late last month, at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans, notorious rap crew Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All got into some trouble after Vyron "Left Brain" Turner allegedly slapped a female photographer. The group responded, claiming there "simply is no truth to the accusation," but the freelance photographer is now pressing charges.

A New Orleans police department representative has confirmed that photographer Amy Harris has filed charges against Turner, reports Venues Today, the publication Harris was shooting for at the time of the October 30 incident. The rapper is facing a misdemeanour charge of battery for allegedly hitting the photog in the head, knocking her lens to the ground and leaving a red mark on her face.

The offence could lead to a $1,000 fine and up to six months in jail.

Before officially pressing charges, Harris posted a statement about the incident on her her blog. She wrote:

I was very disheartened to learn yesterday that Odd Future is denying that one of its members, Vyron Turner ("Left Brain"), engaged in the violent conduct that so many people witnessed and even photographed or videotaped. After he so publicly attacked me, I truly believed that an apology would be immediately forthcoming, which is why I declined to press charges at that time. The unexpected turn of events, including an attack by Odd Future on my credibility and motives for discussing the incident, have caused me to re-evaluate my initial decision. I've contacted an attorney -- Amy Borlund with Doll Amir & Eley in Los Angeles -- and am pursuing my options. At a minimum, I am seeking a public apology from Vyron Turner. Ultimately, I want a resolution in which Turner is held accountable for his actions.

The Odd Future camp has yet to respond to the charge. Prior to the group's performance at Austin's Fun Fun Fun Fest on Sunday (November 6), however, Odd Future publicist Heathcliff Berru tweeted, "PHOTO PIT IS CLOSED FOR ODD FUTURE AT FUN FUN FUN TODAY. Tonight is for the fans. No photos. Come party instead."
