Obsessed

Obsessed

Originally recorded in the mid-'80s, Obsessed's debut finally sees North American release. The record was recorded in the Washington, DC area, circa 1985, by Scott "Wino" Weinrich and his hard rock band, but there was little interest in releasing it at that time. Later, when Wino had become lead singer for California's Saint Vitus, their European label, Hellhound, expressed interest. Now this classic record has finally seen its North American debut, courtesy of Fugazi bassist Joe Lally and his Tolotta label, which he runs almost exclusively to release material by Wino. The material contains a timeless quality that makes it nearly impossible to figure out if it was recorded then or now. Also included on the disc is a full live set from the trio recorded in those early days. The band is in prime form for the set, with Wino kicking out his signature explosive guitar solos at every opportunity.
