Toronto's NYSSA is returning to the legendary Lee's Palace, as the electric-glam artist will be streaming a (pre-recorded) digital concert from the historic Toronto venue.
The Live at Lee's stream kicks off on December 11, and it will be available for 72 hours. NYSSA will be performing songs from her debut album, Girls Like Me, alongside new quarantine compositions during the stream via Noonchorus. The performance promises to be uncannily theatrical, and it was assembled by famed local promoter Dan Burke.

In addition to preparing for the stream, NYSSA has also released the video for Girls Like Me track "Misty Morning." The clip was directed by Ron Hollywood and Leah Hennessey.
In a statement, Hennessey explained, "The song is about atavistic desire being awakened by the power of nature, so it was perfect to cast NYSSA as Dionysus, the destroyer of ego, the Party King. In these times of limited mobility, sometimes Nature is only accessible through the distortion of pixels, and the wink of a cat in a backyard, but the gods find their way into our bodies however they can to give us new life and take us away from the illusory world of society."
Speaking on the writing process of the song, NySSA said, "I wrote 'Misty Morning' in the midst of a mournful fall. I wanted to create a space in song where I could escape the city and transmit myself and my companions... 'Misty Morning' is an impressionistic oasis and an imaginary invitation to my True Loves to come out and play."
