Published Jun 21, 2016Festival season seems to get longer each year, and a new live event in New York City is stretching it out into October with the first instalment of the Meadows Music and Arts Festival.
The two-day event is set to run on October 1 and 2 at Queens' Citi Field in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, and the starting lineup is a stacked one.
Topping the bill are Kanye West, the Weeknd and Chance the Rapper. They'll be joined by a hefty supporting cast that includes Kygo, the 1975, Bryson Tiller, Grimes, Empire of the Sun, Chromeo, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Mac Miller, Cage the Elephant, Zhu, Metric, Børns, Savages, Twin Shadow (performing Purple Rain), Sylvan Esso, Post Malone, Pusha T, Kamasi Washington, Jack Garratt, Yeasayer, Frightened Rabbit, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, the Temper Trap, Chairlift, Zella Day, Robert Delong, Miami Horror, Lolawolf, Lewis Del Mar, Coast Modern, Bas, World's Fair, Mas Ysa, Firekid, Nico Yaryan, Jenaux, Slaptop, and Mail the Horse, with more still to come.
Ticketholders from this year's Governors Ball (which was rained out on the second day) will be receiving a promo code offering early access to passes for the Meadows. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on June 23.
