NXNE Announces Official Second Wave of Acts Including Buck 65, Best Coast, K-os, the Strange Boys
Well, just in case the first wave of announced artists didn't tickle your fancy and the heaping helping of additional artists weren't your cup of tea, maybe this will get your motor running: annual Toronto music festival NXNE has announced its official second wave of confirmed acts for this year's showcase.

Weirdo folk rapper turned CBC Radio 2 host Buck 65, Toronto hip-hopper K-os, Cali lo-fi popsters Best Coast and Toronto folk noir outfit Timber Timbre are all listed as playing the festival, along with Warpaint, Diamond Rings, the Strange Boys, Mini Mansions, Big Freedia, Free Energy, Brant Bjork and Comanechi. The second wave has also confirmed an acoustic appearance by punk band X's John Doe and Exene Cervenka.

All these join the previous list of confirmed artists, including De La Soul, Mudhoney, Les Savy Fav, the Raveonettes, Sloan, Elliott Brood, Avi Buffalo, Thee Oh Sees and Iggy and the Stooges, with more acts to come.

Wristbands for the festival are on sale now. For $25, you can catch a whole day's worth of shows, or for $50, you can mosey your way in and out of shows for the entirety of the five-day festival. Early bird prices last until May 7.

NXNE 2010 will run from June 14-20.
