Morbid memorabilia collectors will remember that the car in which Tupac Shakur was fatally shot in went up for auction last month. Now, wealthy automobile enthusiasts and hip-hop historians alike are being given a chance to own the vehicle that the Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in.

The GMC Suburban is also up for sale through Moments in Time, and boasts a $1.5 million USD price tag. The previous owner was unaware of the SUV's history until the LAPD informed her of the backstory in 2005.

Following Biggie's death, police replaced the side of the car that was riddled with bullet holes, but kept the original pieces as evidence, and have since promised to reinstall the original siding once the car is sold. A photo from the auction listing also reveals a bullet marking in one of the seatbelts. The car has clocked about 114,000 miles.

The Notorious B.I.G. was fatally shot on March 9, 1997, while leaving a Vibe and Qwest Records party in Los Angeles in the aforementioned vehicle. He was struck by four bullets and later pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre. His murder remains unsolved, though to this day, many have speculated about connections between his murder and that of Tupac's six months earlier.

This Thursday (March 9) marks the 20th anniversary of Biggie's death.
