Published Mar 31, 2014Following the release of their fantastic debut album Guilty of Everything, Philadelphia shoegaze crew Nothing have dropped a video for their "Bent Nail" single.
The video was directed by Don Argott, who most recently filmed the Lamb of God documentary As the Palaces Burn. The clip also includes a cameo from Philadelphian Kurt Vile, who kicks back and reads a newspaper beside a fruitstand.
Otherwise, the clip toys with Nothing's strange place in the music world. Though they're on a reputable metal label and feature former members of hardcore bands, their melodic music has no effect on the audience, who check their phones, flip the band off and generally look bored as hell. Then they purchase some fruit from Vile, which they put to good use in the club.
