"Black Sea of Trees" (video)

Northumbria's ethereal soundscapes might not be the most obvious score for a walk through the woods, but the Toronto duo's new video for "Black Sea of Trees" nevertheless has us embarking on drone metal-favouring nature trip.

The clip was apparently put together over the course of a year via a series of time-lapse shoots that navigate a wooded area, whether panning slowly across the ground or high up an elm. As the song dips deeper and deeper into dark, pealing layers of distortion, the clip chronicles nightfall, showing off the aforementioned "Black Sea of Trees."
