Northcote Unveils Canadian Tour, Mini-Documentary Web Series

BY Alex HudsonPublished Oct 7, 2011

Earlier this year, noisemaker-turned-folkie Matt Goud released Gather No Dust, his first full-length under his Northcote moniker. Now, the former member of the post-hardcore band Means is getting ready to hit the road for a fall Canadian tour, which he is launching alongside a documentary web series.

The tour contains 18 dates in all, taking Goud as far west as British Columbia and as far east as Quebec. He will play a handful of Ontario dates with the Wooden Sky. See the schedule below.

For a behind-the-scenes look at the man behind the music, Northcote has unveiled a mini-documentary series called Only You Can See Me. This will unfold in four parts, each one week apart, and it includes music, along with interview footage. A press release calls this "a more intimate introduction" to the songwriter. Watch part one at the bottom of this page.

Each part will be accompanied by a free downloadable MP3. This week's track is an acoustic take on the Gather No Dust cut "Take the Ride." Download it over at Northcote's website.
