NOFX's Fat Mike Serves Up Urine at SXSW, Neil Young Joins Bert Jansch on the Road, and Ryan Adams Completes His Blackhole LP in This Week's News Round-Up

Following another busy week in Exclaim! news land, we present our always-convenient News Round-Up. Here's just a few of the stories that grabbed our headlines this week.

First up, let's get the gross stuff out of the way. At last week's SXSW, NOFX fans at Fat Mike's "Cokie the Clown" show got a little more than they bargained for. Apparently, the longtime pop punker tricked his audience into drinking some of his own piss. How? Well, he mixed it in with some tequila backstage before the show and then offered it up to his unknowing public. At the end of the show, he let the crowd know what's up, and needless to say, they weren't too pleased. In fact, the Austin Health Department isn't too pleased either, and may soon launch an official investigation into the incident.

In less stomach-churning news, Ryan Adams finally wrapped his long-rumoured Blackhole album, the Dead Weather gave up the release details for Sea of Cowards, Jónsi gave us the scoop on his upcoming solo LP and the state of Sigur Rós, and some Swedish banger is actually getting disability benefit because of his heavy metal addiction.

Also, for whatever reason, this week we had a lot of "old white guys still making rock'n'roll" news. The beginnings of a joint tour with Neil Young and Bert Jansch were announced. Everyone but Zooey Deschanel's least favourite Beatle Ring Starr revealed he's coming to Canada and the U.S. And finally Iggy Pop has vowed to quit stage diving. Yes, kids, it's now up to you to carry on his legacy.
