While they're undeniably great at fast, melodic skate-punk, NOFX's sense of humour is, well, not exactly for everyone. Months after their tasteless Stephen Hawking tribute song, the band have elicited groans with an off-colour joke about the Las Vegas massacre.

Last year, Stephen Paddock killed 59 people and injured 500 others after opening fire on the Route 91 Harvest festival on the Vegas strip.

Over the weekend, NOFX played Vegas' Punk Rock Bowling & Music festival. While onstage, the band cracked some jokes about the shooting that didn't exactly land.

"We played a song about Muslims and we didn't get shot. Hooray," Fat Mike said.

"I guess you only get shot in Vegas if you are in a country band," Eric Melvin replied.

"That sucked, but at least they were country fans and not punk rock fans," Fat Mike concluded. Responding to groans from the audience, he added, "You were all thinking it!"
