Brothers and former Oasis bandmates Noel and Liam Gallagher have been at each other's throats for the better part of their careers, and while the war of words doesn't seem to be ending any time soon, the lads' mother has had enough of it.

In a new interview with the Mirror, Liam revealed that his 73-year-old mother Peggy has given up hope of reuniting the brothers, admitting that she can't even get them in the same room for Christmas or family birthday parties.

"She is done with it," Liam said. "She is like, 'Fuck yous. Smash each other's heads in for all I care. I am sick of it.'"

He added, "It has been 20 years now. She is done with it and she has given up."

Peggy, who appeared on camera in last year's Supersonic documentary, raised her kids as a single mother. She remains at her home in Burnage, Manchester, refusing her sons' requests to move closer to them in London.

"I'm like, 'Come on. You've got to move from here,'" Liam explained. "But she's like, 'I am not moving from nowhere.' She is not interested in any of this now. She is like, 'You get on with your mad, crazy whatever life.' Her feet are cemented to the ground."

Both Gallaghers have upcoming solo projects in the works. Liam will release As You Were on October 6 via Warner Bros. Records, while Noel is expected to release a new album in November.
