Ever since he released his fantastic debut Love Visions seemingly out of nowhere, California-based garage pop wunderkind Nobunny has been hopping across the continent on a series of tour dates. And it seems the never-ending tour cycle will continue, as the rascally rabbit has announced tour dates leading all the way to September.
The most exciting part? The furry rocker and his band have lined up a sizeable Canadian tour that will take place at the end of July and beginning of August. And while there are clearly a lot of "TBA"s in terms of venues, the confirmed dates are enough to prove that this is definitely happening.
The Canadian leg of the tour kicks off in Victoria on July 27, and heads east, hitting up Vancouver, Kamloops, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg and Thunder Bay. Then, in Sudbury, Nobunny will meet up with like-minded Ontario garage rockers White Wires for shows in Sudbury, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Nobunny will play a final Canadian show in Hamilton on August 10 before returning to the States for a series of shows that conclude at Memphis's Goner Records fest on September 24.
Nobunny most recently released a limited cassette of B-sides and outtakes called Raw Romance. The cassette sold out almost instantly, but he is promising a repress soon. He has also signed with Goner Records, and is preparing a new album, tentatively called Ono, which he hopes to have completed and out this year.
