No Devotion

'Permanence' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 21, 2015

No Devotion, the new band featuring Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly and former members of UK outfit Lost Prophets, are gearing up for the release of their debut LP, Permanence, later this week. That said, as the owner of the band's record label, Collect Records, Rickly has let loose a full-album stream for the faithful. You can check it out online now.

We'd previously heard a bit of music from the LP, but now we get a bigger picture of the rock-and-electronics-merging effort. Check out the crossover tones of opener "Break," whose woozy synths and assorted shimmering sounds almost sound as if Rickly is crooning over a Purity Ring beat.

Elsewhere, No Devotion deliver more moody, guitar-oriented material like "Eyeshadow," "I Wanna Be Your God," and "10,000 Summers."

You can sample it all below, while Permanence officially hits stores on Friday (September 25).
