Nite Jewel Sign to Secretly Canadian, Unveil 7-Inch Ahead of New LP
In 2009, Nite Jewel won us over with their debut album, Good Evening, which we said "caters to the private dancer inside all of us." Now, the icy electro outfit have inked a deal with Secretly Canadian and are gearing up to release album No. 2.

Details of the sophomore LP are still vague, but a press release confirms that it will be out in "early 2012." Before that, Nite Jewel will release the single "She's Always Watching You" on seven-inch vinyl. The song reportedly contains "'80s synth R&B melodies" and sounds "both giddy and deceivingly nonchalant," which is just what we would expect from Nite Jewel. The song is embedded at the bottom of this page.

Curiously, this single will not come out through the band's new label. Rather, it will come out through Yourtru.ly's imprint Love Letters Ink. Each seven-inch will come with a handwritten letter from singer Ramona Gonzalez, links to watch making-of videos, and a $1 donation to the Lauren Abramson Memorial Fund, which supports Citizen Schools California.

The single comes out December 6, and you can pre-order your copy from Bandcamp. That's the cover above.
