Published Aug 09, 2012Despite a handful of EPs and 12-inches, icy L.A.-based electro pop performer Nite Jewel (aka Ramona Gonzalez) only just followed up her 2008 debut Good Evening with this year's One Second of Love. If you hadn't already picked up her first full-length, you may have noticed the out-of-print platter is a little tough to come across these days. Nite Jewel's current label Secretly Canadian are about to help us out, though, by reissuing the set this fall.
A newly pressed version of Good Evening will hit retailers November 11. The reissue will differ from the original Gloriette Records pressing, as it will feature two bonus cuts. The first is a cover of pre-Can band Inner Space's 1968 single "Kamera Song," and the other is a remix of album track "What Did He Say" courtesy of Nite Funk collaborator Dâm-Funk. You can hear both tracks now in the stream below.
Nite Jewel is currently touring over in Europe, but she'll be back in North America mid-month. In late August, she'll take off on a joint tour with Peanut Butter Wolf, recent Stones Throw signee Chrome Canyon and DJ Scott Mou, playing both coasts of the U.S. and a lone Canadian date at Vancouver's Waldorf Hotel.
