Nirvana's big 20th anniversary edition of In Utero plops into store shelves tomorrow (September 24), but a last-minute preview has arrived in the form of a clunky punk instrumental called "Forgotten Tune."
Granted, this really isn't the greatest of tracks from the holy trinity of Cobain, Novoselic and Grohl, but there's a loose energy to its mix of goofy surf guitar bends and mosh blasts that makes it sound like the guys are having some fun. It's a ways away from both the bleakness and awesomeness of In Utero, but an interesting footnote nonetheless.
