Nine Inch Nails

"Disappointed" (live video)

Our most anticipated album of the summer is barely a month away, as Nine Inch Nails' long-awaited Hesitation Marks is due out on September 3 through Universal Music Canada. Now, we've got another live taste of the Trent Reznor-led band's new material in the form of a live rendition of "Disappointment."

The track — which was filmed at South Korea's Ansan Valley Festival on Sunday (July 28) — is hypnotic and urgent, with a steadily clacking beat, burbling arpeggiator and a faint Eastern flavour during the instrumental breakss.

Check it out below [via Antiquiet]; the clip also includes another arpeggiator-laced new song, "Copy of A," which has already emerged in live form. "Disappointed" begins around the 5:40 mark.

Reznor previously described the album as "sparse" and "minimal," and that seems to be true of these live cuts, although the less-than-perfect sound quality makes it tough to discern the sonic details.
