Published Mar 29, 2019Toronto psych trio Nikki Fierce dropped their Man Made Woman EP last year, but they're not done promoting the release just yet. The band have revealed new visuals for EP opener "Made for You."
The video, directed by Mashie Alam, features actors Chloe Alexis and Marika Emma exploring a treasure trove of clothes as they get dressed to face the day. According to the band, the video "was made by women for women."
As guitarist and vocalist Evangeline Molly explains, the video expands on the song's lyrical inspirations, "from the perspective of a woman feeling all the ways in which the world is designed to keep her down. At the same time, there is the feeling of growth and hope that comes with being able to express those emotions, and I think that the video does a good job of emphasizing the lighter aspects of the song."
Nikki Fierce will be celebrating the video's release on April 5 at the Baby G in Toronto. The video will be screened throughout the night, and the show will also feature sets by Kaleidoscope Horse and Luna Li.
