Niki and the Dove Announce 'The Drummer' EP

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 9, 2011

This past spring, ethereal electronic duo Niki and the Dove announced that they had inked up with the influential Sub Pop imprint. Shortly thereafter, the band issued their "The Fox" twelve-inch single. Capitalizing on that June release, the Swedish outfit is now ready to deliver their next set, the digital-only The Drummer EP.

Sub Pop confirms that the act will let loose the seven-song release on October 18. The EP is said to be "full of magic and light but with an unsettling darkness hidden beneath the surface."

Speaking with NME, the group further explained that the EP "tells a story about a wrestle at night, in a no mans land, where everything is uncertain. It's about the inevitable question of if you're choosing the right direction in your life or not."

You can download and/or stream the title track below.
