Published Oct 29, 2012Despite her larger than life persona, last week pop rap superstar Nicki Minaj dropped a pretty low-key clip for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded cut "Come on a Cone," which had her hanging with the crew in a parking lot. Things get suitably more fantastic in the new fairy tale-styled clip for "Va Va Voom," from the deluxe version of the LP.
Musically, it's another saccharine Euro dance-styled club banger from Minaj that has her both singing and rapping about the pros and cons of relationships, but the vid gets a bit more creative with its imagery.
On top of the glossy, slow-mo shots of unicorns parading through a shallow riverbed, you have the rapper donning some sort of equine costume of her own. Pertaining to those courting-geared lyrics, she hangs out with a persistent fella by the water, gets into an uncomfortable home invasion scenario with a stern woodsman, and seduces a Prince Charming-type from the other side of a magic mirror.
