While recent tracks like "Chi-Raq" and "Yasss Bish!!" have suggested that Nicki's going to return to aggressive rap tracks, "Pills N Potions" is packed with pop appeal. The song sees Nicki singing a gentle pop chorus atop a piano-driven beat, then rapping on the verses. That said, the composition works well and it looks like Nicki has another hit on her hands.
