Alongside chart-topper Corey Hart, Chad Kroeger and Ryan Peake of Nickelback fame are among the latest round of musicians slated to perform at this year's Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala.
The gala, which is scheduled to take place on September 24 at Toronto's Massey Hall, will honour the lifelong dedication of prolific Canadian songwriters. Hart, who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2019, will join Kroeger and Peake for a set of tribute performances to inductees Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance.
"It goes without saying that Bryan and Jim have written and continue to write songs that capture some of our best memories," the Nickelback members said in a statement, "and to create songs that feel timeless is one of the best achievements you can hope for as a songwriter."
Kroeger and Peake added: "We are extremely honoured to celebrate them and their songs at this year's ceremony."
Alanis Morissette is also being inducted this year. She'll take the stage at the gala along with Serena Ryder, Jessie Reyez and Charlotte Cardin. Further attendees, performers and special guests are to be announced in the coming weeks.
