Nickelback Are About to Drop a Piping Hot Cover of Charlie Daniels Band's "The Devil Went Down to Georgia"

Like a beacon of light in the darkness, Canadian hard rock heroes Nickelback have been teasing something all week. Now, they've revealed what it is: a cover of Charlie Daniels Band's huge country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia."

Nickelback will release their new version of the tune tomorrow (August 14), and its artwork promises that it features Vancouver fusion guitarist Dave Martone. We assume that's him absolutely shredding the shit out of the audio previews, which are available below.

UPDATE (8/14, 12:46 p.m. ET): You can now hear Nickelback's cover in full below. And believe it or not, it's actually pretty good.

Daniels died last month, but his hit lives on amongst some of hard rock's greatest musicians. In addition to the 'back boys, the song was recently covered by Korn in kollaboration with Yelawolf.

Keep your eyes peeled for Nickelback's latest banger, which will likely arrive at midnight ET. Until then, you can listen to some snippets below.
