Published Sep 06, 2011Toronto-based musical stalwart, Nick Storring, found time between recording, composing and improvising to come into the Exclaim! offices to give us an exclusive performance. We have a wonderful live video of one of Storring's explorative and intricate improvisations.
Following the performance we sat Storring down for a quick interview. He answers questions regarding potential fan-base of improvisational music and the origin of his decision to electronically process his cello.
Storring is set to drop his (official) debut record, Rife via UK imprint Entr'acte and will be celebrating its release on September 16 at Toronto Laser Services. You can preview Rife on Storring's Bandcamp page.
