Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds Announce 'Live from KCRW' Album

BY Alex HudsonPublished Nov 17, 2016

Earlier this year, we handed out a perfect rating for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' stunning live show, so we're pleased to report that the band will be releasing a live album before 2013 is through. Live from KCRW is due out for Record Store Day's Black Friday event on November 29.

As the title suggests, Live from KCRW was recorded during a studio session for the Los Angeles radio station. It was captured by Bob Clearmountain on April 18, between the group's two Coachella gigs.

This is the band's fourth live album, and an announcement notes, "It features a stripped-down line-up performing classic Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds material alongside four songs from their recent global hit album Push the Sky Away."

The CD and digital version contain 10 tracks, while the double-vinyl expands this number to 12 with the addition of two exclusive, unaired recordings from the session.

Those who aren't able to pick up a physical copy will be able to buy the album digitally. This will be available in the UK on October 2 (with a North American release presumably following the next day, on October 3). It will also be available as a digital bundle with Push the Sky Away.
