Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

"Higgs Boson Blues" (video)

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds' spring tour behind their Push the Sky Away featured, among many others, a spot-on and stunning run-through of the album's downcast "Higgs Boson Blues." If you missed out on any of the performances, you'll get another chance next summer, but you can now also check out a live-style performance of the song in a new video.

Captured in East London by directors Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the video simply finds the Seeds running through the song, but damn, is this magnetic. Witness Cave passionately running us through his tale of wild rides and motel parties, his eyes cinched tight as he recalls the drowning death of, uh, Miley Cyrus.

The rest of the band lock into the spiritual groove, and you can likewise get swept up in it all by giving the video a stream down below.

As previously reported, Forsyth and Pollard have also teamed up to deliver 20,000 Days on Earth, a dramatized pseudo-documentary about a day in the life of Nick Cave. The film is set to be premiered next month at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Colorado.
