News Exclusive! Hidden Cameras Play Retirement Party for German Football Legend

Toronto's Hidden Cameras have received an unexpected and rather unorthodox invitation to play a gig: celebrating the retirement of Germany's most celebrated footballer Mehmet Scholl. A hardcore fan of the gay church folkies, Scholl personally invited head Camera Joel Gibb - who's currently based in Berlin working on new material - to not only play the midfielder's retirement party in Munich on August 15th, but also at the stadium in front of a crowd of more than 100,000 for his last game against Barcelona earlier the same day. Via email, Gibb told Exclaim!: "We'll see if [the stadium gig] actually happens but we are playing his party for sure."
