New Order Announce North American Dates, Play Toronto

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 23, 2012

In news that's bound to infuriate Peter Hook, reunited post-punk greats New Order just confirmed plans to tour North America this fall.

The relatively short outing will take place in October. It will kick off in California before the band make their way across the U.S. and wrap up with a Canadian stop in Toronto, ON, on October 23, marking the band's first Canadian show since 2001. All told, there are seven dates across the continent in slightly less than three weeks.

This marks New Order's first North American tour since they reunited without Peter Hook last year. The band previously broke up back in 2007. Hook has denounced the reunion and claimed that his former bandmates' use of the New Order trademark is "illegal."

New Order also have some dates in Europe and Asia. See their international schedule here.

Tour dates:

10/5 San Francisco, CA - Oakland Fox Theatre
10/7 Los Angeles, CA - Greek Theatre
10/10 Denver, CO - Broomfield 1st Bank Center
10/12 Dallas, TX - Palladium
10/18 New York, NY - Roseland
10/21 Chicago, IL - Aragon Ballroom
10/23 Toronto, ON - Sony Center
