Members of New Brunswick bands Little You, Little Me and Motherhood have a wealth of different projects on the go, running arts collectives, record labels, music festivals, studios and recording projects. Amidst all this, the two groups will find time to hit the road on tour together with a cross-Canada trek.
Kicking off the run in Ottawa at the end of August, the run of tour dates will keep them away from the East Coast for the better part of a month. The trek comes on the heels of full-length releases from both bands: Little You, Little Me unleashed I'd Watch the Day Til It Died in December of last year, while Motherhood shared Baby Teeth last month.
"New Brunswick is kicking everyone's ass right now, and it'll be good to be on the road again, proving that point," Motherhood's Penelope Stevens said in a statement. "Everybody gets so stoked on each other's projects, and there's such a healthy fan base for local arts. Without the (sometimes obnoxious) dedication of the community, we'd never be able to keep at it 24/7 like we do. You know that saying 'it takes a village to raise a child'? Well, same with a band."
