It's been three years since Montreal metalheads Neuraxis hit us up with their brutal blend of technical thrash. While the band have been kicking it since the early '90s, 2008 was a landmark year for the group that saw the release of both the skull-crushing studio set The Thin Line Between and its accompanying live disc Live Progression. Lucky for us bangers out there, the Quebecers have announced that they're ready to get back in the game via their new album and an upcoming tour.
A press release explains that Neuraxis will unleash their next set, titled Asylon, on February 15 courtesy of Prosthetic Records. While a tracklisting has yet to pop up for the set, you can stream new tune Asylum on the label's website. Fittingly, the track is a vicious melange of whip-crack blast beats, skittered guitar runs and vocalist Alexandre Leblanc's efficaciously bowel-disrupting gutter grunts.
To celebrate the new record, the band will be taking their new tunes on the road from February to May. Check out the tour dates, including a number of shows supporting Sepultura, below.
