N.E.R.D. Get Daft Punk to Help "Hypnotize You"

November is shaping up to be a busy month for Daft Punk. As we reported earlier this week, the French house duo are finally dropping their long-incubating Tron: Legacy soundtrack on November 22, but the act will also have their hands in another major release that month: Nothing by fellow production superstars N.E.R.D.

A Pitchfork report states that Daft Punk produced N.E.R.D.'s new single "Hypnotize You." Considering the smooth tune's thick, filtered synths, this should come as no surprise. The sexy cut, performed by N.E.R.D. on the Late Show with David Letterman last night (September 28), both plies that troupe's soulful '80s swagger, anchored by Pharrell Williams's freak-nasty falsetto, as well as Daft Punk's oft eerie synth structures. N.E.R.D. member Chad Hugo donned a balaclava on the program while striking his keyboard, a potential nod to Daft's masked robot motif.

N.E.R.D.'s album Nothing is due November 2 on Star Trak .
