While fans of vampire drama True Blood have been getting a steady dose of sex, blood and necromancy in recent years, they've also been served a handful of soundtracks that score the salaciousness. The show's producers are now gearing up for the third set of songs saluting Sookie Stackhouse and crew, titled True Blood - Music From the HBO Series - Volume 3.
Perhaps the biggest treat for fans will be a double shot of the show's theme song. First up is Jace Everett's original version of "Bad Things," a down and dirty swamp boogie that scores the program's intro. Also included, however, is an alternate, fuzzed-out version by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Clearly the band have a thing for vampires, as they previously contributed to the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.
The latest True Blood soundtrack also features creepy contributions from big name players like Neko Case and Nick Cave, who duet on a version of the Zombies' classic "She's Not There," while classic Siouxsie & the Banshees cut "Spellbound" is featured as well.
