The Twilight franchise isn't the only vampire love series that can attract the big indie names for its soundtrack, as sexed-up HBO show True Blood has recruited Neko Case and Nick Cave to cover the Zombies' "She's Not There" for the show's Season 4 premiere.
"You always want to serve the show, but in the back of my mind I'm always thinking about the soundtrack," music supervisor Gary Calamar told Billboard. "The key to a good soundtrack is having fresh recordings."
The episode of True Blood will also be called "She's Not There" and will air on June 26. Previously, True Blood has soundtracked its sordid supernatural love and violence with collaborations between everyone from Elvis Costello and Lucinda Williams to C.C. Adcock and Jace Everett.
